Kalavapriikki, an ambassador for quality fish and sustainable food culture, acquired a production data collection and control system. Kalavapriikki, part of Heino Group, specializes in processing and selling Finnish fish, and its strategy is to promote the use of Finnish fish in its home market. The implementation of a new system is an essential part of this strategy.
Kalavapriikki has grown significantly in recent years, and the new system supports this growth by providing up-to-date information that helps increase production efficiency and improve quality. In a highly competitive food industry, where new products are constantly introduced and global developments affect production, reliable and real-time data plays a key role in enabling sustainable growth.
The system supports production efficiency in several ways, including improving machine utilization and supporting operators in quality assurance tasks. It also represents a significant step forward in Kalavapriikki’s digital development by shifting production management away from spreadsheets toward more structured and data-driven processes.
Accurate and up-to-date data helps Kalavapriikki better anticipate future needs and investments. In addition, machine and equipment usage data stored in the system can be utilized in maintenance planning, supporting the reliability and continuity of production.
Kalavapriikki’s goals aligned well with Pinja’s solutions from the beginning, and the project has progressed smoothly so far. The selected solution provides a comprehensive and easy-to-deploy system that supports Kalavapriikki’s continued growth and development.
